Greek Super League 2 football is getting a new headline sponsor in Superbet, who have signed a three year agreement with the competition.

Superbet continues to expand its brand coverage in Greek football, becoming the headline sponsor of Super League 2, the country’s second-highest tier of professional football.

The three-year agreement will run from the start of the 2026/27 season and represents the latest major activation undertaken by Superbet since launching in Greece in March.

Superbet announced its arrival in the Greek market through high-profile sponsorships of Greek Super League clubs Panathinaikos and PAOK Thessaloniki.

Greece’s new bookmaker has further grown its sponsorship portfolio via the Euroliga basketball partnerships with Olympiacos BC and AEK BC.

Commenting on the Super League 2 agreement, Superbet Greece General Manager John Kalamvokis said: “Our ambition is clear: to make a meaningful contribution to the development of Super League 2.

“This partnership is part of our broader commitment to Greek football: strengthening competitions and clubs with deep local roots and bringing fans closer to the game they love.”

Superbet targets Greek podium

The Super League 2 sponsorship strengthens a market-entry strategy that Super Technologies has reported to SBC as the most successful market launch in firm’s history.

Greece became the sixth market for the Romania-founded betting group, and its first expansion undertaken following the €1.2bn investment secured from Blackstone.

Super Technologies views the early Greek launch positively, believing Superbet has established itself as a recognised challenger within one of Europe’s most mature and competitive betting markets against established brands including Stoiximan, Novibet and OPAP.

Although Superbet has not disclosed specific Greek player numbers or market-share figures, leadership remains confident that the launch has provided the foundations for the brand to reach the market’s podium in record time.

Greece is a 360 Play

Adam Lamentowicz, chief commercial officer of Super Technologies, previously told SBC: “Superbet, our leading commercial brand, has entered the Greek market with real intent.

“We are now partners of the country’s leading sports clubs, both in football and in basketball. We have signed strategic partnerships with iconic football brands like Panathinaikos, PAOK, alongside Levadiakos, Panionios, and the main sponsorship of Greek Super League 2.”

Sports sponsorship remains a central part of Superbet’s plan to accelerate recognition among Greek audiences. Its partnerships provide extensive exposure across football broadcasts, club media, affiliates and the wider sports-media ecosystem, supporting the group’s attempt to challenge Greece’s entrenched market leaders.
