A report from Salience uncovers the industry’s most successful players
New insights from Salience have revealed the top performing UK online betting services, with the National Lottery, Flashscore, and Bet365 topping the tables for organic traffic scores.
The research identified 11 key performance indicators including traffic, keyword trends, and online reviews.
One important metric identified by Salience is the traffic score year-on-year, which can be used as an indication of overall website growth or decline.
While Flashscore, Jackpotjoy, and Foxy Bingo were found to be top performing sites in this area, the brands with the biggest decline in traffic score were the National Lottery, Lottery[.]co.uk, and Coral.
There are a number of reasons a site could see fluctuation, including unfavourable or favourable algorithm updates, technical failures, or increased competition.
Another factor for a successful site is the consumer rating.
By analysing Trustpilot reviews, Salience gave the Postcode Lottery a score of 4.7/5 from 41,806 reviews; Lotto Go, a 4.4 score from 18,161 reviews; and Lotto Mart, 4.5 from 9,774.
According to Salience, both the quality and quantity of reviews were important, as the betting industry is highly competitive, with 80% of the top ten brands scoring more than four on average.
By combining branded search metrics with social media performance, the researchers identified that Bet365, Paddy Power, and Coral were the top performers, with over 10 million combined monthly brand searches.
“Our latest analysis of the UK’s online betting sector has produced some fascinating insights,”explained Brett Janes, managing director for Salience.
“Revealing the brands performing at the top of their game and those who experienced losses in visibility. For 2026, it’s the National Lottery that has been revealed as the market leader, despite losing 28% of its visibility.”
