The latest round up of people moves include Microsoft, Havas, Dentsu, and Meta.
Microsoft has announced that it will be cutting roughly 4,800, which equates to roughly 2.1% of its workforce.
Xbox is bearing the brunt of the restructure, with over 1,600 roles immediately. Amy Coleman, executive vice president at Microsoft, told employees in a memo that the company needed to focus on spaces in which it can deliver for customers amid a “fast-changing industry” the BBC reports.
“Companies don’t get to choose whether their industry changes; they only get to choose whether they change with it,” she said.
She pointed out that while “what is true is that AI is changing how work gets done”, although the company would not replace the lost roles with AI.

Meta: Denise Moreno as CMO:
Denise Moreno has been appointed as Meta’s new chief marketing officer, replacing the outgoing Alex Schultz, who will move to a position as chief data officer.
Meta is facing intense competition in both their AI models, and in their social media platforms. This is a critical time for the company, too, as it faces over a trillion dollars worth of lawsuits.

Havas: Ross Taylor named chief creative officer
Ross Taylor has been appointed as chief creative officer of Havas Play UK, moving from his position as group executive creative director.
This is the latest in a slew of leadership changes at Havas, with Charlie Hugill moving to chief client officer, as well as the appointment of Maria Panayi as head of culture, and Hannah Liu-Sherman as managing partner.

Dentsu: Kyle Harman-Truner to UK CCO
Dentsu has hired Kyle Harman-Turner as its new chief creative officer for the UK and Ireland.
Harman-Turner previously held a position as executive creative director at AMV BBDO.

Coca-Cola: UK marketing chief exits
Elodie Peribere, Coca-Cola’s senior marketing director of the UK and Ireland, is exiting the business.
“After 15 years within the Coca-Cola system, including the past three years at Coca-Cola Great Britain, Elodie Peribere has taken the decision to leave the company and relocate to Spain with her family,” said Coca-Cola.

FuboTV: chief executive removed and replaced
FuboTV has removed its previous chief executive, David Gandler, and has replaced him with former Disney executive Alisa Bowen.
Bowen comes from her position as president of Disney’s streaming service Disney+ since 2022, and has previously held positions at Thomson Reuters, News Corp Australia, and Dow Jones.
