Meta Pixel and Conversions API updates are coming to the social media giant’s ad platform.
Meta has revamped its Meta Pixel and Conversions API, which aim to help businesses maintain “the kind of well-connected, up-to-date setup that drives strong ad performance”.
Historically, ad growth has required extensive technical expertise like frequently updating the code on your website, configuring servers, and updating product details manually, Meta said. But with these updates, smaller businesses without access to such technical abilities will still be able to get “the most out of their ads”.
“Our goal is to remove those barriers, and allow businesses to have the type of setup that top-performing advertisers rely on, without complicated onboarding, added costs, or ongoing technical maintenance,” the company said in a statement.
Automating context with Meta Pixel
The updated Meta Pixel feature will allow businesses to use AI to automatically include page and product information, such as business details, product names, and availability of the events shared with Meta.
This used to be a manual process for businesses, so automatically sharing more context about products can help sellers to target their ads more effectively. With more context, smaller teams can reap performance benefits without complex technical calibration.
Meta Pixel users will be notified with a 30-day window to review the feature before it is enabled. This gives users the option to adjust or disable the tool through events manager, and manage specific data categories to better optimise for their needs.
One click setup with Conversions API
Often paired with Meta Pixel, Conversations API, has helped advertisers lower costs for web events by an average of 17.8%. Meta is now making it significantly easier for Conversions API to be set up.
Meta has introduced a one-click option, requiring no costs, no technical expertise, no maintenance, and setup within just a few minutes.
Those with low event coverage, or who don’t currently use Conversions API, can utilise this for a streamlined setup without the technically demanding traditional setup.
Meta added: “When advertisers can connect and securely share their business and product information, it helps Meta show the right products to the right people at the right time. We believe the best tools for growing your business should be accessible to everyone.”
