Betway’s star studded clubhouse invites fans into the betting community.
Betway brings the star power to its headquarters and invites everyone to join in the fun in its latest campaign.
The ad features both Williams drivers (Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz), UFC world champion Dricus du Plessis, footballing legend Thierry Henry, as well as Manchester United, Arsenal, and Springboks players – as well as several other big names.
Altogether, the ad features 27 sporting and entertainment icons across the different areas of the clubhouse – showing off the strength of Betway’s sporting partnerships.
Localised versions of the ad feature sporting figures from the region’s more prominent competitions will be distributed in a full 360-degree through-the-line campaign.
The M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment produced campaign will extend beyond TV to include digital and outdoor, with immersive pop-up experiences around the world including Johannesburg and London.
Ross Watson, managing director of M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment said: “From the moment we began working with Betway earlier this year, there was a shared ambition to create a brand platform that could match the scale of their global sporting partnerships while putting fans at the heart of the experience.
“Betway Clubhouse is the result of that ambition, a bold and entertaining creative idea designed to unite world-class talent under one distinctive brand world that can evolve across every touchpoint. It has been a fantastic collaboration with the Betway team, and we’re proud to have helped bring this new chapter for the brand to life.”
Leaders take
The ad serves as a visual representation of Betway as an all-powerful destination for sports fans to enjoy all in one place. The exciting athlete and sporting partnerships it has is impressive – although it could use a few more showcases of sporting talent rather than cameos.
Unfortunately, the ad doesn’t seem to feature any female athletes – instead choosing to showcase its partnership with model and actress Kelly Brook – who spends the majority of her screen time in a laundry room.
After such a fantastic year for women’s sport with record breaking rugby and football seasons, it’s disappointing to see brand ad reduce its sporting prowess to just the men’s games.
