From tomorrow, access to the odds comparison model of FairPlay Sports Media and its content will be free to all users.
Oddschecker is ending the subscription service for its OC+ suite of tools and tipping insights. The service will now be available for free to users from tomorrow (27 October).
The odds comparison portal of FairPlay Sports Media (FPSM) confirmed via an update this weekend to subscribers of the OC+ suite that its tools and features would become freely available across browsers and devices.
The decision sees FPSM end the service it introduced in 2024, as part of a new audience strategy for the heirtage portal of Oddschecker, to build-out a suite of tools to improve audience retention and engagement with premium content.
The OC+ suite centres on unlimited odds comparison grids covering more than 500 sporting events a day, alongside price histories from over 25 bookmakers.
Its Market Movers service tracks selections whose odds are shortening or lengthening, while AI-generated probabilities give users another measure against which to assess bookmaker prices.
The suite holds a separate value montior tool highlighting potential betting opportunities, with public betting splits providing insight into betting activity.
Premium content including market analysis and editorials by the expert insights team of Andy Holding, Ginger Joe and Liam Firkin, is also become free to access from 8am on 27 October.
Oddschecker said the changes would make its tools more accessible, but offered no further explanation of the commercial thinking behind its decision to drop subscription charges.
The announcement also leaves questions over the future of several subscriber perks. Paid packages have included reduced advertising, a racehorse share and a Racing TV discount, but the notice does not confirm whether these benefits will survive the switch.
The decision marks a change of direction for one of UK’s best-known betting comparison websites, which competes for audiences through odds checking, racing coverage and betting insights.
Under Bruin Capital’s ownership, Oddschecker became part of FairPlay Sports Media, a wider sports media network whose brands include football statistics platform WhoScored, Confido Network and SuperScommesse.
