Impact.com will suspend brand accounts after 40 days of overdue payments to partner affiliates.
Impact.com has introduced new measures to help affiliates get paid on time.
The affiliate management platform will suspend a brand partner’s accounts when an invoice is overdue by 40 days – previously this occurred after 60 days.
The change, implemented from October 1, 2026, looks to ensure affiliate partners are paid quickly and reliably for the revenue they generate. Impact.com is encourages brands to settle their invoices within 30 days so funds can be released much sooner.
This is not just a matter of timing. Research by the Affiliate and Partner Marketing Association (APMA) found 51% of publishers said payment issues had a moderate to significant impact on their business.
Improved cash flow would help 39% of affiliate partners in increasing spend or acquisition activity. A further 31% said it would help them expand into new verticals or regions, and 29% would launch or scale new content.
Anthony Clements, Impact.com UK and DACH country manager, said: “Delayed payments hurt creator and publisher trust, whereas reliable payment timelines keep top-tier partners engaged and delivering high-quality traffic.
“We’ve been pleased to see the increased recognition of the importance of prompt payment at an industry-level in recent years. This is another positive step in that direction.”
Impact.com releases funds to partners almost immediately after receiving payments from brands, the company said.
On top of that, the firm has introduced ‘anytime withdrawal’, which enables eligible creators to withdraw up to £350 from their account within minutes through PayPal, instead of waiting for scheduled payout dates.
The APMA has developed a payments code of conduct to outline clear expectations and standards regarding payments so that advertisers, agencies, networks, and publishers can collaborate seamlessly.
This includes validation timelines, transaction disputes, bonuses and incentives, payment visibility, and consistent and predictable payment processes.
The core principle is: partners should be paid transparently and accurately within predictable timeframes for the value they deliver.
