New tools for Google Analytics and Google Ads look to boost advertiser growth.

Google is updating its ad suite to include new AI ads and analytics tools.

Within this, the tech giant is launching Ask Advisor – an in-product AI agent which will work across Google’s marketing platforms designed to help marketers gain deeper insights into their measurements.

The new capabilities are designed to “amplify your expertise, helping you uncover insights faster, make smarter business decisions, and stay firmly in the driver’s seat as you chart your path to growth”, Google confirmed.

New AI Overviews will also appear at the top of the Google Analytics homepage, offering an instant summary of important updates after the users’ last session. This will include anything from seasonal peaks in sales to changes in traffic and is designed to give a quick snapshot of the top priority.

Josh Moser, senior Google product manager, said: “When a data card catches your eye, a single click carries that context straight into Ask Advisor to analyse further. And now, you can stay up to date with these smart summaries at your own pace by opting into notifications via phone or email at a frequency that suits you.”

The Google Ads homepage has been redesigned to push AI-powered ‘insight cards’, which are personalised to the business. This looks to provide context for marketers to adjust their strategy, understand their competitor’s trends, and improve their campaigns.

Performance evaluation is streamlined with a new dashboard in Google Ads – with raw data visualised with text prompts. Reports will also automatically generate a real-time summary to explain the ‘why’ behind the data to help marketers understand their performance.

In addition, a new benchmarking feature compares campaign performance against anonymised averages from similar businesses – designed to help teams refine their strategy.

Kevin Marshall, paid media director at Gardyn, added: “Ask Advisor has become my go-to for a directional check on paid media performance… That speed matters because it gives me time to dig deeper and make shifts that improve performance sooner.”

The agentic features are just one of the new tools Google recently announced. Last week, it unveiled Search Generative AI performance report within Search Console, which includes dedicated reports for search and discover to help website owners understand their sites visibility within generative AI features on search.
